On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, more than 50 Columbia students, alumni and their families will ride on the GS float in the New York City Veterans Day Parade. This is the sixth straight year that GS has been a major sponsor of the Parade, which travels up Fifth Avenue from 26th St. to 56th St. The Parade, which is the largest in the nation and broadcast on a variety of television stations, is honoring the 200th anniversary of the writing of the “Star-Spangled Banner.”
All US veteran students and alumni from any school or service are welcome to join. If you missed it this year, we hope to see you next year!
